Jeff fell in love with music and he fell hard. He would have every friend he knew listening to his
latest find or taking them along to the next Dead show or big festival. That was a big part of Jeff that everyone knew and
loved and expected.
Towards the end, Jeff and Jeana were gardening at work and Jeanna gave him the name "Fizle." Based on his bubbly personality and the shirt he wore; In Jeanna's words.... (that was the shirt
I brought to his service) -white with blue bubble like circles.- I just said with a smile while we were talking he's
the fizle and we liked it so much he told another coworker and from there the rest was history.
I did my very best to find a suitable Snoop song for the site, but couldn't seem
to find one that wouldn't offend someone so just imagine your favorite if you don't like the alternative I have chosen from
another one of Jeff's well liked groups.
Quote SNOOP DOG: "Sometimes, if you're lucky, someone comes into your life
who'll take up a place in your heart that no one else can fill, someone who's tighter than a twin, more with you than your
own shadow, who gets deeper under your skin than your own blood and bones" - Talking about Tupac Shakur. Many of us felt that
way about Jeff. He just had a way about him that made him instantly special!
A few other loves of Jeff's musical life
were The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic, Blues Traveler, The Doors & Jim Morrison's American Prayer, Pink Floyd, The
Cure, REM, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers and Warren Haynes, The Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Van Morrison, Cream and Clapton,
The Beatles, Edwin McCain (local to Charleston then), John Mayer, De Collard Peoples (Folly Beach Band), and White Buffalo
(Athens Band...Jeff was crushing hard on the singer Samantha!)...occasionally he'd feel the love for Led Zepplin, and The
Who, but not as much as his set of friends.
Watching music lift Jeff up could literally lift you from whatever mood
you were in and you might find yourself dancing without realizing you started!!!
